Recycling
The City of Inverness provides curbside recycling to residences. As part of the program, each home is given a recycle cart. It is easily identified by the bright yellow lid. On the lid, a list of materials that can be recycled are provided. Recycle day is Wednesday; however, to ensure pick up place your recycling cart curbside Tuesday night. Please rinse out or wipe away any left over contents from the recyclable before placing in the cart as left over chemicals and foods can contaminate the recycling materials, preventing it from properly being recycled.
We encourage residents to place their carts at the curbside before 6:00am on your collection day with the cart handle and wheels facing your home. Please place your recycling cart on the opposite side of your driveway from your garbage cart, or ensure it is a minimum of 4 feet from your garbage cart and any other objects. Place all acceptable recycling materials inside your recycling cart.
