5:30 p.m. event starts
9:15 p.m. fireworks

The City of Inverness announces its annual fireworks show over Lake Henderson. The City’s lakefront parks are a great place to watch the fireworks display and support the local nonprofits at the event.

Locations to bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the fireworks:

  • Liberty Park, 286 N. Apopka Ave., Inverness
  • Depot District, 300 N. Apopka Ave., Inverness
  • Wallace Brooks Park, 328 E. Dampier Street, Inverness

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with vendors selling cold drinks, hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ and more. Head to Liberty Park to enjoy live music performed by Frankie Ballard with the Soul Circus Cowboys starting as the opening act. The fireworks display is set for 9:15 p.m. and will last approximately 18 minutes.

For this special event in the parks, we ask that you leave the following items at home:  personal fireworks, tents, tables, pets, coolers, alcohol or grills. Boaters will be required to keep 350 feet from the barge setting off the fireworks in Lake Henderson. This is a rain or shine event.

The City also invites event goers to enjoy the evening downtown at our local restaurants and pubs.
