The City of Inverness is relieved that Tropical Storm Ian has moved into the Atlantic Ocean. The city did not experience major impacts from the storm. Currently City staff are already hard at work performing cleanup and minor damage assessments to bring our city back to pre-storm conditions.
The City will be fully reopened at 8am Friday September 30 to include all administrative offices, parks, and recreational facilities. All our scheduled events and programs for Friday and Saturday this week will continue as planned. Also starting Friday, we will resume residential and commercial garbage collection with plans to have everything caught up by the end of the day on Saturday Oct 1.
