Special Events Covid-19 Considerations
The State of Florida entered phase three of the re-opening on September 25, 2020. Under recreations it says,” large venues: (i.e. movie theaters, concert halls, auditoriums, bowling alleys, arcades, playhouses, casinos) These venues should reopen fully with limited social distancing protocols.”
The City is welcoming back fall festivals in 2020 on a smaller scale to reopen our community and provide quality of life.

- Farm City Festival
The Depot District and Liberty Park provide an excellent outdoor venue for events which is complemented by additional actions detailed below to mitigate the spread of covid-19.
City Staff
- We have minimized touch points whenever possible
- Restroom facilities located throughout the park for frequent handwashing
- City Information booth will have hand sanitizer available
- Posting signage throughout venue encouraging social distancing and masks
- Routine cleanings of the facility will take place throughout the event
- We have modified the layout to allow greater social distancing especially when it comes to vendors
- Reducing lines whenever possible
- Encouraging staggering times
- Staff will practice socially distancing whenever possible and wear a mask when not possible
Festival Vendors & Exhibitors
- We will bring in local vendors from Citrus and nearby counties whenever possible.
- Vendors and exhibitor are to wear a mask
- Provide hand sanitizer at booth
- Vendors and exhibitor follow CDC guidelines
- Social distance with festival goers and other vendors
- Do not provide food or beverage samples without strict safety guidelines
- Limit touch points
- Demonstrate their booth will allow persons to socially distance when visiting
