Community Services

The City of Inverness is proud to work with local and national service organizations in bettering our community and assisting citizens.

Veteran Services

From coordinating ceremonies and events such as Flag Day and the Veterans Day Parade to supporting and recognizing efforts like Operation Welcome Home, the City of Inverness can not say enough about the community and its recognition of men and women who have defended our country.

For veterans and their families, Citrus County Veteran Services Office provides benefit assistance, providing local hands-on support in working with the Veterans Administration. Veterans interested in pursuing college degrees can find assistance from the Online College Guide.

If you seek to keep informed about benefits in general, veteran groups, history, stories by fellow veterans or other news, the Veterans Page website is a must. Authored by veterans, the Mission of the site is to inform & advise, with the Goal to remember & recognize.
